The Conjuring - Movie Review

The Conjuring is a horror film directed by James Wan. There has certainly not been many good horror films this year, but this one will have you paranoid. You will go home and if you hear the smallest little noise, you will run through the possible scenarios. It will mess with you.
That is only one of the reasons I loved The Conjuring. With little to no blood, barely any language, and very few gruesome scenes, the movie still leaves me shaking. The fact that it got an R rating, only because of how scary it is, amazes me. This movie has everything. Scary scenes, A decent story (although it is one we have seen many times before), and great actors. The children absolutely amazed me with how good of actresses and actors they were.
One scene after another you will start thinking of what is going to happen next. You begin to care about these characters and who they are. You actually become interested in the story. Movies like Sinister were interesting, but I could care less about the actual characters. I became worried about what would happen to the characters and I loved that. The only real problem I had with the movie is that it has been done before. A family lives in a house, strange things happen, and they get someone to try and fix it. Nothing we haven't seen before. But it is done extremely well. While some scenes are a little clique, some legit messed with me. There is one scene where a woman is in a basement, and if you haven't seen it yet, then you have been warned. I absolutely loved The Conjuring and I believe casual audiences and horror lovers should all go see it. It is a great non PG-13 horror movie.

The Conjuring : 8.9/10

Thanks for reading!
